Help for Litibu

Mentioned here recently was a report that construction work on four of five resorts being built at Litibú has stopped. Litibú is a development on the Nayarit Riviera near swanky Puta Mita and is served by the Puerto Vallarta airport.

This past weekend, President Felipe Calderón hurried over to demonstrate that the area, being developed by the government agency Fonatur, is not forgotten. Accompanied by Tourism Minister Rodolfo Elizondo, Calderón dedicated a desalinization plant, sewage treatment facility and other infrastructure works, noting that 90 percent of the land set aside for hotels and condominiums has been sold. Total private sector investment in the area is expected to reach $400 million.

Always enjoy the excellent information. Just to let you know that the development, Haixa, in Litibú has resumed construction. First phase will be completed this fall. Been a rough stretch for everyone, so nice to see things coming to life again. Definitely a buyers market.
