As mentioned here before, for the first time, the annual Tianguis tourism trade show will not be held in Acapulco this year. Unhappy about the change — made because both buyers and sellers asked for it — Acapulco is planning its own Tianguis in September. The date has yet to be announced. This Tianguis — the word, derived from ancient tongues, means “marketplace” — will focus on the Golden Triangle of Guerrero state: Acapulco, Ixtapa and Taxco. According to organizers, about 50 exhibitors and 300 buyers are expected to attend.
