More Hotels

Tourism Minister Gloria Guevara has announced that 65 more hotels will be built in Mexico during the coming years. Among these will be 57 in the InterContinental Group and another 12 built by Riu. Perhaps the most controversial is one planned at the Cancun Convention Center. It had been announced that no more hotels would be authorized in the Cancun hotel zone, but, then again, when Cancun began it was announced that no structures would be authorized that were taller than a palm tree.
