Veracruz slates festival

Just to show that it has recovered from damage by a recent hurricane and that violence is not a problem, the rollicking
Gulf Coast port, Veracruz, is organizing what it calls a Cultural and Gastronomic Fair November 12 to 15. On Nov. 15, Mexico celebrates the centennial of the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution. The actual date was Nov. 20, but this gives everyone a long weekend.
Veracruz is a favorite playground for the denizens of Mexico City and Puebla, but it once also was big with international travelers. Direct flights leave daily from Houston and Dallas.
