Travel with Stan: I have been a journalist for more than 50 years years and have won more than 87 awards. I started my newspaper career in 1963 as a sports writer with Copley Newspapers. From 1984 to 2009, I was an Executive Editor, Special Sections Editor and Travel Editor with Media News Group. I am Western Chapter immediate past chair of the Society of American Travel Writers. I have been married to the same woman for 48 years. My wife is a retired high school math teacher and department chair. I have two grown children and two granddaughters.
