Interjet

Low-fare carrier Interjet is requesting authorization to open routes from Mexico City International, from Guadalajara and from Los Cabos to Orange County in California and from Mexico City Toluca to Houston, Chicago and Las Vegas. Interjet jet currently flies from Mexico City to Miami, San Antonio and New York City as well to 24 airports in Mexico.

What to leave behind when traveling abroad

1. Valuable or expensive-looking jewelry

2. Irreplaceable family objects

3. All unnecessary credit cards

4. Your Social Security card, library card and similar items you may routinely cary in your wallet.

5. Leave a copy of your itinerary with family or friends at home in case they need to contact you in an emergency.

6. Make two photocopies of your passport identification page, airline tickets, driver’s license and the credit cards that you plan to bring with you. Leave one photocopy of this data with family or friends at home; pack the other in a place separate from where you carry the originals.

7. Leave a copy of the serial numbers of your travelers’ checks with a friend or relative at home. Carry your copy with you in a separate place and, as you cash the checks, cross them off the list.
